A Commitment to Compassion: My Beastie Toys & The Sato Project

Through this collaboration, we aim to support their mission of curbing the stray dog overpopulation crisis in Puerto Rico and rescuing, rehabilitating, and finding loving homes for these deserving animals.

The Sato Project

The Sato Project was founded in 2011 and has since rescued over 7,500 dogs from the streets and beaches of Puerto Rico. The term "sato" refers to the mixed-breed street dogs found on the island.

We started our rescue efforts at Dead Dog Beach in Yabucoa, a notorious dumping ground for unwanted dogs and the site of Hurricane Maria’s landfall in 2017. Today, our efforts have expanded to include community outreach alongside adoption, with the inception of #OperationSato, a free spay/neuter/vaccination program offered to families in PR. Your donation goes directly towards Operation Sato and our other program areas.

It details key events such as rescue missions, media features, vaccine clinics, and milestones including the founding of the project, notable rescues, and the launch of Operation Sato. The background features a beach scene with palm trees and a dog, with the message "We can't rescue our way out of this" displayed prominently in red at the bottom.
