WORKPLACE MATCHING GIVING: Will your employer match your gifts? Many companies do. If you're not sure, ask someone in your Human Resources department today and make your donation go twice as far with a matching gift to The Sato Project. Some employers match gifts at $2-1, or also match volunteer hours with a contribution. Others will match your contributions even if you’re retired. The process can be as simple as letting your company know about your gift and they take it from there, while others require you to send The Sato Project your company's matching gift form with your contribution. We then complete the form and send it back to your employer. The few extra minutes required will be well worth the effort!
SUPPLIES: If you would like to donate supplies to The Sato Project to help us keep our costs down and allow us to focus our resources on rescuing dogs, please donate an item from our one of our wishlists on Chewy or Amazon. Items on these lists are needed to welcome our dogs as they arrive at the airport from Puerto Rico, support our rescue efforts and foster families, and more. Hold onto your purchase receipts, as you can claim the item as an in-kind gift to The Sato Project. Want to donate other supplies? GIFTS OF STOCK: Your gift of stock will become an investment in saving neglected animals, while providing you with financial benefits. If you own securities that have increased in value since they were purchased (at least 12 months ago), you may be able to avoid capital gains tax by contributing the securities instead of cash. You'll receive a charitable income tax deduction for the full market value of the asset, and you'll avoid capital gains tax on the appreciation of the securities.
