Thank you for contacting The Sato Project! We have a very small staff and we appreciate your patience as it may take us a few days to send you a personal response. In the meantime, here are some links and information which you may find helpful:
Help with dogs in Puerto Rico:
If you are in Puerto Rico and are looking for help with a dog you have found, please understand that we receive hundreds of inquiries every week about dogs who need help, and sadly, we do not have the resources to help everyone who reaches out to us, but we do our best to help as many people as we can. Our priority is helping dogs in the Yabucoa municipality where our team is based. If you wish to reach out to us in search of help for a found dog, we suggest you try direct messaging us on Facebook for the quickest response.
Adoptions and Fostering:
If you have questions about our adoption process in general, please visit the adoption page of our website: www.thesatoproject.org/how-to-adopt. If you are following up on an adoption application, please know that our team is working to process and respond to your application as quickly as possible. If you would like to know more information about a particular dog listed among our dogs available for adoption, would like an update on the status of your application, or if you are interested in becoming a foster, please contact Samantha Gurrie, Adoption & Foster Coordinator, at firstname.lastname@example.org.
If you have a question about a donation you have made or wish to make, would like to update your information related to a recurring donation, or discuss other ways you'd like to help support The Sato Project's efforts, please contact Jennifer Shepherd, Development and Communications Director at email@example.com. You can also find information on our website such as our financials, tax-id, and mailing address at www.thesatoproject.org/donate-1
Media Inquiries: Please reach out to firstname.lastname@example.org
If you would like to volunteer with our organization, please know that the opportunities to volunteer in Puerto Rico are limited at this time, as we do not operate our own shelter or sanctuary in Puerto Rico (or in NYC). In Puerto Rico, are dogs are cared for at one of two private veterinary clinics until they are ready for travel. Once they arrive in the greater New York area, our dogs go to one of three places: a foster home, a forever home, or to one of our shelter partners. If you are interested in transporting dogs in the greater NY area, please contact Esther Heine, Transport Coordinator, at email@example.com. If you are interested in volunteering other services in the New York area where we are headquartered, please email firstname.lastname@example.org. If you are interested in fostering, please see above!
If you'd like to buy t-shirts or other Sato Project merchandise, please stay tuned to our website and social media. We hope to launch a store soon!
Thank you for joining us in the fight for the dogs of Puerto Rico! Your message is important to us and we look forward to responding to you as soon as possible.
