Twinkle

Twinkle took her Freedom Flight on July 5th, 2020. Thank you to all of her Foster From Afar donors for helping us change her life forever.

In early March, our team visited a municipal shelter that was greatly impacted by the recent earthquakes. Our mission was to pull as many dogs scheduled for euthanasia as we could. We had a private flight that was donated to us and had volunteered to fly as many dogs as would fit onto the plane to a shelter partner in Ft. Lauderdale. Little Twinkle was one of these lucky satos destined for Florida. However, shortly after we pulled these dogs, the flight to Ft. Lauderdale was cancelled (like many to come), causing Twinkle to become one of the many dogs who had to remain in our care longer than expected.

Thanks to your support, Twinkle’s days of being at risk for euthanasia in the Ponce shelter are long behind her. She was able to complete her vetting protocols and fulfil her destiny to become an East Coaster. Twinkle had a loyal family in NYC who was ready and waiting for her. After four months of waiting to take her Freedom Flight, this little sato star couldn’t wait to get out of her crate to meet them. Twinkle now spends her days making new friends everywhere she goes around the city, and filling her family’s apartment with love and joy.
