Sasha

Sasha took her Freedom Flight on July 5th, 2020. Thank you to all of her Foster From Afar donors for helping us change her life forever.

Sasha was spotted living in the streets by a good samaritan who could tell that this poor sato had recently given birth. The streets are no place for a young family to try to survive, so she followed her to investigate. Sure enough, Sasha led her straight to her four young puppies that she was diligently caring for. The good samaritan put the entire family in her car and contacted us for help. Of course we had to say yes. Sasha’s puppies were all very healthy and happy. She had done a wonderful job raising them on her own and we wanted to give all five of them the chance at life they deserve. Upon examination, our vets discovered that poor Sasha was suffering from heartworm. Heartworm is prolific in tropical climates. If left untreated, it leads to a long and painful death.

We are so grateful that we rescued this sweet sato mother when we did. Thanks to your support, she received the vital treatment she needed and was able to make a complete recovery. After doing such and amazing job taking care of her pups, it was our turn to take care of her. Sasha (and her four rambunctious pups) flew on Mission Possible 11, where she had a loving family waiting to meet her at the airport that couldn’t wait to take her home. Now, Sasha lives the life of luxury she deserves in NJ, sitting on the couch in her high-rise and watching other dogs from the window.
