Logan

your support as a ‘foster from afar’ will help change this sato’s life forever.

Thanks to over 10 years of our advocacy and rescue efforts, Dead Dog Beach is now a very quiet place. Other than the nearby port and our rescue team, there are only a handful of local fisherman and beach goers visiting daily. Sadly though, it remains a popular dumping ground for unwanted dogs because it is so quite and isolated. On one of our daily visits to the beach, our team met Logan. He was very friendly and had a collar on. At first, we thought he could be an owned dog, attending the beach with his family or perhaps with one of the fishermen. However, there was no human in sight who claimed him. Unfortunately, it is not uncommon in Puerto Rico for former family pets to be abandoned while still donning their collars.

Once approached, Logan seemed very eager to not let our team out of his sight, almost as if he knew that we were safe. When we opened our car door, Logan immediately jumped inside, politely asking for a free ride to a better life. Now Logan is safely staying in our clinic and completing his veterinary protocols. As soon as he is ready to fly, we are determined to find this handsome sato a new family who will love and cherish him like he deserves. We will ensure that he is never abandoned again.

In the meantime, Logan would love some virtual foster family support to help him continue to get the care he needs along his journey. Sign up to foster Logan from afar below.

In exchange for any gift of $24 or more, you’ll receive a special digital postcard and a link to a download a printable, foldable card. You can print the postcard for yourself to show off your foster dog or give the greeting card to a loved one as a gift to let them know that a grateful sato was fostered in their honor. We’ll also keep you in the loop of Logan’s progress.  Just like an in-person foster, you’ll be among the first to know when he finally completes his vetting, flies to a new family, and has all his dreams come true.

Logan is no longer available to foster from afar because he has officially taken his freedom flight! If you are one of his donors, be on the lookout for an exciting update coming soon to your email.
