Emir

your support as a ‘foster from afar’ will help change this sato’s life forever.

This handsome hound was found wandering around with a herd of cows in our veterinarian’s pasture. As soon as he was approached, it immediately became clear that his previous exchanges with humans were not happy ones. He is extremely wary of people and most comfortable when only around other animals. Emir is currently the longest running member of our trainer’s “pack” of dogs. Emir seems content with this; however, we know he deserves so much more. Slowly but surely, our trainer in Puerto Rico is gaining his trust and socializing him with new people. No matter how long it takes, we are determined to show him that he has nothing to fear. We know Emir will continue to be under our care for at least another year or more before he will ever be able to be made available for adoption. But in the meantime, he is safe, has a belly full of food, and would love support afar to help toward his journey of rehabilitation.

In exchange for any gift of $24 or more, you’ll receive a link to download a special digital postcard or a printable card. You can print the postcard for yourself to show off your foster dog or give the greeting card to a loved one as a gift to let them know that a grateful sato was fostered in their honor. We’ll also keep you in the loop of Emir’s progress. It may be a year or more, but just like an in-person foster, you’ll be one of the first to know when he finally completes his recovery and is given the green light to finally find a family of his own.

If you prefer to pay via check, please make payable to The Sato Project and mail to 130 Water St. Brooklyn, NY 11201. Thank you!
